The Cattle Shed in Lyonshall
Our beautiful, award-winning cafe, The Cattle Shed, is situated within a transformed cattle byre across from the manor house. Our dedicated kitchen team led by Head Chef Christopher Dean will serve you the finest locally sourced ingredients. Cafe by day, open seven days a week and restaurant on the evenings of Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. With its beautiful wooden beams, stone walls, huge wooden chandeliers and the odd ‘mouse light’ peeping out here and there, the former cattle byre has a laid back and rustic charm, perfect for relaxed dining.

Open Seven Days a Week
We serve delicious full English breakfasts from 9am on weekdays and from 10am on Saturdays. Our kitchen is open from 12 to 3pm for all other food, including light bites and freshly-baked cakes from the licenced bar. On Sundays, we’re open for coffee and cake from 10:00 and serve our popular Sunday roast from 12:00 – 15:00. Please call us to book on 01544 230007.

Cattle Shed Evenings
On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, we are open for our ‘Cattle Shed Evenings’. Enjoy cosy, candle-lit dining with a specially prepared, select evening menu. In days gone by, Penrhos became known as the “Le Manoir au Quat’Saisons” of The Marches because of its pioneering restaurant and cookery school, which gained an international reputation.
